If you are looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion, The Griffin as a complete venue is able to accommodate groups of up to 150 people and offers a choice of set menus and buffet menus for any occasion, parties, christenings, weddings or business meetings. The recently refurbished function room, can accommodate up to 50 people, has its own private bar and is also equipped with a video projector, and laptop connection to enable PowerPoint, slide show or DVD presentations. For more intimate occasions, groups of up to 20, we also have the private dining room. Telephone or call in with your requirements.
Outside there are a rear courtyard for dining or drinking al fresco, and also separate children’s play area, where parents can relax while the children have a great fun.With St.Mary's church in walking distance join us for a pre wedding drink and canapé, we can organise a private area if required. Meet before the wedding with friends and relatives and have a relaxing drink before the big day unfolds!

We can organise christening parties in our function rooms, choose from our buffet menus and plan your celebration a stone’s throw from St Mary’s church. Our function rooms have an independent sound system so you can if you wish bring your own soundtrack!!

Corporate and business facilities are available. Our Plumtree room has full projection facilities and sound system we can cater for up to 40 people depending on the format. Coffee and tea can be served on arrival with a selection of Danish pastries or bacon butties, refreshments are available throughout the day with a buffet or full lunch menus available but pre-ordering is required, for larger parties set menus can be discussed.
